Default Tunica - Grand - room temperature?

Going this weekend and was wondering how cold they are running it. I just about froze the last time I went back in March.

Most casinos in Mississippi are kept very cold in the summer--probably an attempt to slow the mosquito action. Glance around any southern casino during the summer--half the customers are wearing jackets, sweaters, or long-sleeved shirts. Be prepared.

Horseshoe isn't really that freezing a lot of the time.
Sometimes it is of course.

Gold Strike kind of the same.

My experience is the same as the OP's. Upstairs at the Grand can be REALLY freaking cold. Played there during the WSOP-circuit tourney last Sept or Oct or so and I was struggling to handle the cards and chips.
No idea if it's still like that. But I do know that it's been that way in there for quite awhile.

Never notice the cold downstairs at the Grand though. So I imagine it's just a situation where the vents are way more powerful upstairs or something like that.

At the grand, the 2/5 NL is usually spread at the table by the rail between the desk and the cage. There is a BIG AC vent right over this table and it gets REALLY cold. THe rest of the room seems OK. I wore a light jacket and was OK just about everywhere in the room.

The horseshoe room seems more uniform temperature wise, I haven't noticed any particular hot or cold spots. I was comfortable there with and without a jacket. The video poker area just outside the poker room by the "River Aces" bar (I think that's the name) is colder than a meat locker, though.

Thanks guys. Sounds like I need to leave the shorts at home and bring a light jacket.

Are they running 4/8 now? I see something on the msgamming web site that they are only have 3/6 and 6/12 for the low limit tables. Is that correct?

whyme - Not necessarily correct.
That site is good for tourney info. But for the specific stakes spread at each room I think the info gets dated.

I don't know if they have 4/8 or not though.
I just ignore the info on 'games spread' from that site.

Thanks, either way I'll be there. I'll play the 6/12 over the 3/6 but it's a little steep for my BR. 4/8 just right...
