Default A couple preflop decisions

I want to see people's general opinions on these plays. Specifically, would you make this play here? Yes, but with a read? Never?

Both hads are at $200NL without reads.

Hand 1:

ATo in the SB. There is a poster in MP2. Everyone folds to the poster - who checks. It is folded around to me and I raise to $10.

Hand 2:
Q8o in the SB and two limps to me. I haven't been raising much at this point. I raise to $10.

Didn't TME write a good post on stealing limps out of the blinds? I think it might even be in the faq.

I know someone did. However, these are some hands from a recent session review that we disagreed upon.

both of them depend on who the BB is, but as a default I'd prob just complete them both.

edit: after rereading that post though it looks like I might be wrong.

Hand 1 is super standard. You're FE is huge and you're way ahead of your opponents' ranges. Just completing here would be a big mistake. This is more of a value-raise than it is a steal. I might just make it $8 to go for pot control incase you're called. I don't think the extra $2 gives you much extra FE.

Hand 2 is a pure steal and very read dependent.

I'll grunch it before I go and refresh with that pooh-bah post.

The first you are facing 2 players with ATC, they didn't even limp they posted. You can raise this for value as you are way ahead of them. Plus, with you OOP on 2 players the faster this hand is over the better.

The second you can just fold. With two limps this is probably on the low end of hands you could complete with, but frankly the chance of being dominated and paying off makes me want to just not get involved. Drop it.

Didn't read the other posts but I like hand two more than hand one. I think hand one has more value taking a flop by completing the blind.
