Default NL25: OESD facing flop donk

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($4.15)
CO ($14.90)
Hero ($26.65)
SB ($24.05)
BB ($10.30)
UTG ($33)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, CO calls $0.25, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.25</font>, SB calls $1.15, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, CO calls $1.

Flop: ($4) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $1.25</font>, Hero?

I don't believe I had a meaningful read on CO at the time. What's my play? I think a call sucks, since the flush draw weakens my hand, but maybe villain is short enough that a raise is no good either, insofar as I'll be committed to put a bunch of chips in behind if he shoves over.

Its a call because of your overcard. Like stated above, reevaluate on turn.

I think both raising and folding suck a lot more than calling.
