[/ QUOTE ] puke when he shows QQ so you're putting him on AA and only AA? Thats a pretty limited range. i doubt he 5 bets AK. thus you're behind exactly 1 hand. |

I gave him a range of AA>AK>AQ>KK>QQ, based both on his betting and statistical probability. I will accept arguments either broadening or reducing this range, but based on this range was a correct to muck?

I doubt he is even 5 betting AK PF. Bet flop, if he raises, then start to worry. How would you play QQ if you were villian in this spot? |

I think AA and AK are by far the most likely. AQ and QQ only because I had two of the Ks, but I really didn't think he had either of those.

I would rarely think that an unknown player, ESPECIALLY LIVE, is 5-betting AK.
Then again, most live players won't 5-bet QQ either.. |

I can put him on 3 hands, one of which you have as well.
FWIW I'd be more inclined to fold this on a Q high flop than an A high flop. |

Unknown does not affect his play! Only what we think of it. LDO. The idea that "An unknown won't 5bet with [insert hand here]" only goes so far. The range we put him on is blurry, but one hand "everyone" is going to 5-bet is AA. There are a few situations that match up to our unknown as to why he's 5 bettin less than rockets. Since we don't know the true style of this unknown I think I lead flop and then start to worry if he raises. Check-raising unknowns is probably a bad idea. I don't think your laydown is terrible though.
The other 2 kings are a possibility, as unlikely as it is. |

Would it be reasonable to assume unknown villian to 5-bet AKs?
