Default Will electronic poker tables become mainstream?

This conversation has come up several times this month at different tables, and most players are reserved when it comes to the idea of electronic tables. These are the same people who think online poker is rigged, or cannot be beat and feel that live poker should always have chips, cards, and a dealer.

I love the idea just based off of getting in far more hands, and not having to tip a dealer but I know most donks probably won't see value in those reasons.

It's basically something I'd love to see happen, but if bad players won't accept the idea then I don't want to drive them away from the game. I mean there is a lot more to this than seems obvious at first glance. A lot of horrible players go so far as to subject themselves to huge losses only to have those super-heaters to which they have a huge stack, sit back confidently and gloat... it sort of balances the situation, and it's why they play poker. I'm not sure having a number on a screen will cut it.

I think if they were headsup tables, they would be very successful, immediately. Otherwise, in time, I think you'll see them more and more.

Who are you again?

Oh someone who has been around for a couple months? Me, I've only been around since '03.

Sorry, to interrupt you and your senseless spamming of threads with the word ban...yeah, go ahead, get back to what you do best.

Nice reply. I'd add that people who feel the need to insert anigifs inside every post are clearly intending to annoy.

I believe that over time etables will replace all live tables at casino's only because of the greed factor. But this will be a long time coming and hopefully I will not be around to have to put up with it. My experience with etables at HP was less than stellar.

From what I heard they are not doing well as most players just don't like them.. especially the older folk and those who have been around live poker for a while.

They closed down the epoker room a while back but kept a couple tables on the main floor. Have no idea how they are doing.
