i am scared to switch to rakeback...
because of all the horror stories that you start losing as soon as you switch.
it does have some logic.most importantly poker sites do lose money when "normal" customers like me switch to rakeback. so can these poker sites make some programming changes to make rakeback customers lose money to their regular customers? they would kill 2 birds with one shot: 1.they would punish RB customers and force them to go "normal" 2.their "normal" customers win money and will pay more in rake. And if they can they would because its too much money at stake and theres no 3d party independent watchdogs So Can They????? |

Re: i am scared to switch to rakeback...
no
a) they don't know if u get rb or not b) they ARE independently audited and doing something like this would shut them down permanently |

Re: i am scared to switch to rakeback...

a.you might have some ground here b.you absolutely wrong here.i meant government watchdog. also those "independent" audits are actually in-house audits.also nobody can shut em down if even US government cannot |

Re: i am scared to switch to rakeback...
well the horror stories occur with rb or no rb
tons of people think that their luck gets much worse whenever they cash out any money others think that their luck gets much better whenever they join a new site etc etc |

Re: i am scared to switch to rakeback...
Yes, this is programatically possible, but would be very difficult, and require somewhat complex algorithms.
However, these sites pay affiliates to bring in new customers. In turn many of these affiliates turn over their commissions in the form of rakeback. That said, the sites would have to assume that anyone who signed up with an affiliate is getting a rakeback. However, most people on online poker sites ARE signed up with an affiliate, but are NOT getting rakeback. (Friend referrals, flyers, cards, blog ads, etc) Punishing RB customers (or those who appear to be rb customers) would really just be sticking it to a whole bunch of normal customers in the process. It doesn't make much sense to do that, does it? |

YES
never switch to RB, it's a guaranteed way to start losing... I probably shouldn't be saying this, but it's true Rakeback is the devil.and I hate it |

Re: i am scared to switch to rakeback...
So they want the rakeback people to lose their money quicker, so they can stop paying rake?
Oh, ok. |
