Etiquette here?
A REAL live player just sat down in my game, and is playing pretty poorly, and missing bets all over the place which is fine with me.
Fifteen minutes later a bunch of guys come by who are known to play very well and start telling him how to play better after every hand. They're not quiet about it or sneaky, but I still didn't really like it. They didn't stay long and I didn't say anything, but would I be out of line to say something like "Let's not make this game any tougher than it already is?" |

Re: Etiquette here?
I'm pretty sure nobody else at the table knew the helpers as I knew most of the people at the table from playing.
I've seen the helpers at other casinos(playing) |

Re: Etiquette here?
I wouldn't say anything at the table. If you see one of the "helpers" get up folow him and say something then. Anything along the lines of "why would you want them to play better" would work. I wouldn't go so far as to ask for a table change. It sounds like they're playing bad so thats good for you.

Re: Etiquette here?
If players at the table want to help another player, you REALLY have no leg to stand on to complain. It's a free country, and all that. They're welcome to provide advice before and after hands all they want. You may not like it, but it's actually not uncommon in very small touristy games. If you complain, you just come off looking like the jerk.

So they teach him a few things. How many of you lost a bundle after reading your first 2+2 book?

Maybe a simple, straight forward "Stop helping the fish please" coulda done it. This from a guy who said it's douchey to play in turn so players act in the order they're suppossed too. "Hey fella's, let's not make this game...." Funny. |
