25/50 he chk/calls flop then donks out, but I river trips...
Villian in the hand is tkdcrew, a 28/22/3ish winning regular. I've seen him playing high stakes before so I assume he is a very strong player, and from my experience he plays very solidly in 6max games. This one was pretty interesting. I'm not really sure of his image of me...
I raise preflop, standard, he defends his blind (he defends with a wideish range, but I would expect him to 3-bet AK, and even AQ pre, although not 100% sure on the 2nd one. Flop comes out A high, he chk-calls my cbet. I really doubt he's reserve floating here so I put him on an ace or a draw. Turn complete the open ended straight, but flush misses. He donks out. Do people just fold this turn? Is he donking out a straight, two pair, or a club draw? Am I ahead of any made hands here or just draws?? I decide to call (not sure if this was good or not). Turn completes the backdoor, the straight is already on board, but I have trips. He bets a healthy size. Is this an ez fold v. tkdcrew? What is your thought process when you call the turn, the clubs hit the river, and he STILL fires? Is his hand ever a value bet from a worse ace? Or is it always nuts/missed hearts? fold river. he knows what you have and he expects you to call.

this is fold or shove not fold or call. i like shove. especially if you tanked a little on the turn.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm a little puzzled, can you elaborate? a shove is close to 100 BBs, so that's a substantial reraise. With an allin raise hero is repping either a running flush or a good ace, and no one ever believes that you hit a running flush. So I don't think villain folds better very often, or calls worse. |

I feel as tho i wanna dump turn, because he's betting river 100% and without a clue on what he's donking the turn with, it's a guessing game, and i usually lose.
