Won $12,000 for Main Event...Fastest Way To Cashout from FTP??
I won a "seat" for the WSOP Main Event in a Full Tilt sattelite last night. I asked how to redeem it in an email and recieved this one:
Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support and congratulations on your impressive win! While there is no rule barring online players from participating in the WSOP, Harrah?s made a decision to restrict online poker rooms from handling the registration details for their online qualifiers. We have determined that the only expedient method of awarding our online qualifiers their WSOP Main Event seats is to credit their account the buy in. As Full Tilt Poker cannot register you for your seat, we have deposited funds sufficient to cover your tournament entry into your Full Tilt Poker player account. Please note, you are responsible for buying your seat at this event. If there's anything else we can help you with, please feel free to ask. Best of luck in the tournament! Regards, Nicole Full Tilt Poker Support My question is how would I cashout on time? Doesn't it take them forever to send checks. My first deposit was from Neteller way before I really played and I'm American so that won't work. I've also deposited with ePassporte I believe. |

You could transfer to someone at the rio "on site". Or perhaps have them send you a western union or something.. Did you try asking fulltilt this question?
Grats on your win. Either way you are 12 grand richer. |

Re: Won $12,000 for Main Event...Fastest Way To Cashout from FTP??
This is what I got when I asked how I could get my money out on time:
Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support. We do understand that recent developments have been a major inconvenience to US players and we are looking to introduce new payment processors for our US players in the near future. Please note that at this time, there are only two withdrawal options for US residents which is either ePassporte or check by mail. If you withdraw your funds to your ePassporte account, there is a maximum of $8,000 per withdrawal. Therefore, if you wish to withdraw $12,000, you can submit a withdrawal request for $8,000 and then another for $4,000. If you would like to withdraw your funds by check, checks are delivered by USPS mail and average 15 business days for delivery (from the time of your withdrawal request: 1-4 days processing and 3-11 days delivery time). Business days are Monday through Friday with the exception of bank observed holidays. Delivery times to destinations outside the Continental United States will vary. You may request a check withdrawal once per 24 hours and up to twice every 7 days. Checks can be requested for withdrawals between $150.00 and $5,000.00. Prior to your first check withdrawal, you must verify your account information by sending us your valid photo ID and proof of address. Please send us clear copies of each of these two documents: 1) Photo ID: One of the following: Valid driver's license, passport, or other government-issued ID that clearly shows your date of birth and the ID?s date of issue/expiry. 2) Proof of Address: One of the following: Bank/credit card statement, utility/cell phone bill, or home/auto insurance papers (recently dated - within past 60 days - and in your name). Requirements: - Copies must be clear and legible (400 DPI or higher recommended for scanned copies) - Only full page documents accepted (bill/pay stubs, folded papers and cut-off sections do not apply) - Address verification must match your Full Tilt Poker account - Edges and corners cannot be cut off We prefer that you email us scanned images of your documents, as this method yields better results; many office supply stores provide scanners for public use. You may also take digital photos of your documents and email them to us, provided that they are in focus, and unobstructed by camera flashes. However, you may also fax these documents toll-free in North America to 1-877-TILT-FAX (1-877-845-8329), or international long distance by dialing your country calling code followed by our fax number. For example, from Europe dial: 00+1+877-845-8329. Please remember to include your Player ID on all pages. If you are going to fax your documents, we suggest lowering the contrast on the photocopier to ensure better legibility. Once your identification is successfully reviewed, we will notify you that you have been approved for checks. You may then request a withdrawal through the Cashier window. Please do not submit your request before you receive this confirmation as your withdrawal will be voided or sent to a previous processor. After your request is submitted, you will receive an automated email from Full Tilt Poker confirming that your request is being processed and a follow-up email once it has been approved or declined. NOTE: If you bank with Citizens Bank (US), we advise you to contact Full Tilt Poker Support at support@fulltiltpoker.com prior to depositing your check at a Citizens Bank branch or ATM to avoid lengthy delays. Alternatively, we are happy to offer wire transfer withdrawal services for our high stakes players who need to move a large amount of funds from their Full Tilt Poker account. Wire transfer withdrawals must be a minimum of $20,000 and are typically processed within 3-5 business days. If you would like to take advantage of our wire transfer withdrawal service, please send your request to wiretransfer@fulltiltpoker.com for further instructions. I hope I was able to address your concerns. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us back at Full Tilt Poker Support. Kindest regards, Emily Full Tilt Poker Support |

Re: Won $12,000 for Main Event...Fastest Way To Cashout from FTP??
Seems like wire transfer of 20k would be the only way to go right? How long does it take for epassporte? Seems crummy that Full Tilt would say it's a seat when it's really not. Also, how come they gave me $12k and not $10k? Is that for expenses or has the buyin been raised?

Re: Won $12,000 for Main Event...Fastest Way To Cashout from FTP??
Extra $2k is for travel and accommodations.
Yes, it sounds like wire transfer is the only way to get your money out expediently. One other alternative is to find a trusted 2+2er at the WSOP, arrange a trade, meet them and transfer $10k to their FTP account ad get $10k in cash from them. It'd be a hassle if you don't have friends that will do this, but if you were diligent and careful I'm sure you could make this happen. |
