Default Some questions about image

I like to play 5-10 Hold'em at the Taj and I have a few questions:

1) Tipping: It seems cheap to tip dealers only $0.50 after a winning hand. I feel that the aura of cheapness will lead players to believe that you play too tight. OTOH, a $1.00 tip can eat into your hourly rate. What's the best course of action here at this level?

2) Abuse: If really bad players are apt to go on tilt, they can do things like throw cards at you. Is it best to let the meal tickets do their thing? My feeling is that if they do not threaten you, you do not want them off of the table.

I am curious to hear what you think

1) $1 is standard but you should tip whatever you think is appropriate without regard to your winrate.

2) I'm surprised casino personal allow this. But if it doesn't bother then don't worry about it. If you are unhappy then let the floor know. Don't forget though that one card throwing fish might make three other fish leave...

If you have a card throwing fish, I find the best strategy is to befriend him and agree with him. This accomplishes two goals:

1. He will calm down and the other fish will stay put.
2. People might tilt against you because of your association with said card throwing fish.

It's hard to act like a big enough jerk to get people to tilt against you (well, in my case I find it hard), but why not just ride some coat-tails?

I like people to focus on those agitated individuals. They tend to not notices when I flop a set or the like. They, instead, tend to be worried about the 24o suck out that just happened or the rant of the "professional" screaming card thrower.

The only time it wasn't much fun is when these 2 equally loud players, who were sitting next to each other, almost came to blows. There were chips all over the table and all over the floor. Everyone not involved wrapped there arms around there chips. The didn't even kick anyone out. {shrug}

I've noticed lately that my play can get interrupted when the yelling card throwing reaches the level where the floor manager needs to come deal with it. Commerce has one or two fish cursing the dealer or throwing cards at least once a session. I'm starting to try to use the distraction to my advantage, tune the crap out and jam the hands where everyone else is watching the drama.

Not really, just for fun, sit down at a 2-4 table next to an 75 year old rock who thinks his G-d given right to see a flop without betting more every time he has the big blind and start straddling.

1) If you want to be cheap I'd tip $1 every 2nd hand you win.
2) Ask them outside.

I do the exact opposite; I start telling the card thrower what a tool he is and that he should be embarassed that his caretakers allow him out in public. I love it when the fish don't mind losing money to me (to the point where they softplay) because I'm also wailing on the table jackass.
