Default NLHTP#49 Conclusion

In the early chapter "Skills for Success" we enumerated five important no limit skills:

[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Manipulating the pot size
[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Adjusting correctly to stack sizes
[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Winning the battle of mistakes
[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Reading hands
[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Manipulating opponents into playing badly

Good play involves mastering these skills and applying them at the appropriate times.

Default Re: NLHTP#49 Conclusion

This concludes the "No Limit Hold'em: Theory And Practice" study group. I'm curious what you folks are taking home from this group. What were important things you learned during this time? What aspects of your game has improved?

And the study group itself: how do you think about it? Was the format ok? Should we have tried to generate more discussion at times? Was the tempo right? Too slow? Too fast? Should we have focused on selected topics instead of plowing through the book?

What are your thoughts?
