another decision in borgata 560 tourney
A friend of mine was also playing with me and this hand came up. His image at the table was TAG. Most of the players at the table were average tourney players. The blinds were 200-400 with 50 ante but the next hand they were jumping to 300-600 with 75 ante. A guy in middle position who's style was unknown to my friend, that had roughly 12k chips raises to 1200 and my buddy was 2 off the button with AQ diamonds. His stack was 6800. Is this a push???

Re: another decision in borgata 560 tourney
The weak flat call... unless I have a reason to know that MP2 is loose or bad.
Admittedly however, $560 tourneys would be out of my league. |

That's a shove with that hand and your M about to drop to <5.

Re: another decision in borgata 560 tourney
What are the other stacks at the table?
If you flat call pot on the flop will be only slightly smaller than your stack, so you have little room to manoeuvre. Shove pre flop, I think it makes it a bit easier with blinds about to go up. |
