Heads Up NLTRN
Hi All,
I have recently begun grinding my way back to respectability on Stars through low level HU matches. I have been playing the $6 games for a few weeks and I have been doing pretty well. I average 70% wins but I went on a tear last week and won 10 in a row. I was curious. For a good HU player, what is a good winning% and also, what's the longest streak you have had in HU matches. -Knightsridge |

Re: Heads Up
OP,
I don't have specific answers to your questions as I don't really play HU sngs, but you might want to try the HU forum, they have some useful information in there from what ive heard. good luck. |

Re: Heads Up
60% at any level over a few hundred games means you should move up and are good at that level.
When you get to the "high" section on Pokerstars ask the question again and the players with a ton of games at those levels can give you accurate winrates, as your winrate at those levels can be lower to be "good." Also, a lot of times you'll start out at say the 10s and only be winning 55% of your games, if that. All of a sudden you will make breakthroughs in a span of 50-100 games where you win 60% or so and you'll be ready to move up. The key is to be able to differentiate between a big heater and a big increase in skill. You should know the difference for the most part, if not take a small shot at the next level and move back down if you lose. |

[/ QUOTE ] I haven't played a ton of HU sit'n'gos, but a while ago I was playing the $33s and $55s at FTP. I'd say I was pretty good at them, but not great and I ended up winning around 58% (5.5% ROI) over 200 matches. I believe I won 9 in a row at one point (I think I also lost 9 in a row). You'd be doing great if you could maintain a win rate of 65% (18% ROI) at the $6s. I wouldn't think one could do much better than that over the long run. |
