weird turn spot
so im donking up micro stakes .10 .25 when this hand comes up: sorry no hand history
stack sizes: villain 25, hero covers images: villain unknown, hero solid, hasn't shown down any bluffs Im dealt AdQdAxJx 3 limpers to me I limp(yeah I know I should of raised it up), 2 more limp and the blinds call. 8 to the flop (lol) 5 of diamonds 2 of spades 10 of diamonds check to me I pot 2bucks (lol). Only villain calls. Turn is the 9 of hearts. This is where I was a little unsure on what to do. Is potting the turn better than check calling or check raising. I ended up potting and he called. The river was the 4 of hearts. I ended up leading for the pot essentially putting him all in and he folded. What are your thoughts on the river bet? thanks, Rob |

Re: weird turn spot
Raising preflop is a good idea, but dont pot it because you are going to be at least 4 way if not 5 way going to the flop even if you pot it. Your river bet was smart. He was probably on a thin flush draw or had one pair on the flop. He may have folded a weak two pair by the river as well as a busted flush draw.
