Can I trap here by any means? (flopped set on turn)
Hand history
Villain, the big blind, seems to be a very bad player. His 3-bet minraises preflop don't mean anything. Also his minisized bets postflop seem to be also complete air a good amount of time. He's done them with hicards only such as K8o with no draws or such. (Although he tried to represent the ace on the flop, but still he proceeded with his minibetting after hitting a king on the turn.) He calls also with air and no legitimate draws. But the interesting part is that, after shown weakness, Villain may attack. He's known to atleast once lead a 1,5x pot sized bet on river (which I think was a bluff unless he had a miracle hand from previous streets). River bet occurred after the other player c-betted flop and got called. Turn went check-check, indicating weakness from c-bettor. His micro-sized bets on flop & turn most likely don't indicate a draw. Is it too risky to call on the turn trying to induce a bluff on river? We can shove on blank river if he leads, but if he leads over a pot-sized bet on a scare card (which there are way too many) we have to make a tough and a big call and sometimes we have to pay him off. |
