Default 200NL - TPGK in reraised pot facing some tough decisions

Villain in this hand is running at 24/19 over about 40 hands. So far he seems to be a solid TAG player; I think that he's capable of making a move on me. I've been running about 21/19 myself and doing my fair share of light raising and 3-betting. This is the first reraised pot I've played in with villain. How's my line here, and can anyone suggest a better way to play the hand? I felt kind of lost when I was playing it.

who's the villain?

i would tend to fold river, because i dont know if 40 hands is enough to really classify him as "solid TAG." i agree that vs. a solid TAG you may want to call...but im not sure we have enough info.

but maybe im just a pansy. christ knows you push me around enough.

If you aren't comfortable felting that flop, then don't reraise and/or don't bet the flop.

I think his minraise is trying to bait you into a mistake...

I was really really close to folding the river but I was getting such good odds to call. And really, if villain was bluffing the flop, this is the perfect river to fire a second barrel on, especially given how weak my hand looks.

Also, my thinking at the time (whether or not it's correct) was that shoving the flop was bad, because I'm never folding out a better hand if I'm behind, and I stop him from bluffing if I'm ahead. Whenever I see a flop minraise like he did it almost always seems to be the nuts or air. I don't think most players have the guts to fire a 2nd barrel in this spot with air after getting called on the flop, since it looks like I could very well be slowplaying a monster myself, so I decided to call the flop and re-evaluate. I'm not sure how solid this line of reasoning is though, given that I was under time pressure when I came up with it.

I agree that it's not much of a sample size, but so far I hadn't seen him make any of the standard preflop donk moves, ie no open-limping, no minraising, seemed to raise frequently in standard steal situations, etc. You're right though, it is still a pretty small sample.

He could easily be bluffing in that spot or have run into a flush on the river. I don't think he has any kind of flopped set or turned because he would not have checked the turn.
I probably don't make the call on the river online, but would definitely consider it live.

Villain was Rexy. First time I've seen him, but I don't normally play at this hour of the day. For all I know he could turn out to be a huge donko, but he didn't seem too bad for the limited time I was at his table.
