Final table play 5 left

I'd like to work on my final table play because I keep getting fifth place. Here are a couple of situations I'd like opinions on.

1. Table has been relatively tight. What is my UTG push range? (I assumed I should be in push mode)

2. The Villain has not tried to steal the blinds very much...often folding his small blind to me.

Villain raises 10,000. I have pocket eights. The blinds are still relatively low and I was unsure of the correct play here.

Your M is at 8 (but 1/2 because 5-handed so 4). Yeah push mode but surely your range isn't too wide just yet.

77+, ATs+ ???

When I am the short-stack I tend to push a lot of hands until I become the big stack. How wide I push depends on how much I have been pushing and the other players obviously.

As for the 88 hand, I'd shove pretty quickly.

For #1 I was pushing any ace, king, and other obvious hands and in retrospect was not sure if that was correct.

That's fine if you're at a table of knits. Otherwise, I wouldn't be so dicey as to shove any Ace or King in that spot.

I shove that 88 hand all day long.
