You have a good hand, and you're getting about 2.5-to-1 odds. You've got to call this bet, since villain could pull this with AK, a weaker two pair, or even a busted flush draw. If he shows you a set, more power to him.

Incidentally, your preflop raise was too small. If you're trying to steal blinds, 4xBB is a good starting point. You're going to be out of position the whole hand through; you really DON'T want to see the flop, and a minraise gives him proper calling odds with literally ANY two cards if he can play well postflop.

i raised to 2 preflop, thats what 4 bbs is at 50nl.

i also think it was a call, but party's software fritzed out on me and didnt give me a chance to call. thinking about it now, i am just not that clear. is this an auto call always barring reads??

Sorry; I misread it as "I raised to 2 bbs" instead of "I raised to $2; bb calls."

As to the call, it's very thin with no read, but given that this is the fourth time in a row you're attacking him, he could EASILY be making a stand with next to nothing. You've kicked the hornet's nest enough that he's going to start stinging.

ya thats exactly what i was thinking and why i was going to insta call, but the more i think about it i do think its a very moderately profitable call as i dont think im ahead much more than 1 in 3 times...

I read it the same way, and immediately thought, why isn't he raising more?

yeah, I think you should call. You have a decent hand, bet it well. Smells like a flush draw to me. Do you really think he would call with AK the whole time and raise on the river? not many players at this stake do that. I think he was on a flush draw, and maybe had a pair along the way.
