Advicing for getting first \"real\" job
Here's the deal. I'm nineteen and in my second year in college. I've been playing online poker for the past three years and did quite well. But as we all know the games are too touch now days and I've decided to get a real job. Could someone give me advice as to where I should apply. Thanks.
And please don't say Mcdonalds. |

Restaurants are a lot of fun, you'll meet a ton of cool people and if you're good and motivated you can bank. Looks good on any resume as well.

Get an on campus job. An seriously, there isn't much advice we can give you on getting a 'real' job. Just go out and do it. You're not looking for something long-term so it doesn't really matter where you work as long as money is coming in. Having said that however, try to get a job where you'll interact with your peers: on campus, restraunts, etc.

Well it's pretty late now, but you could look to see if many places around you are hiring for interns - you might luck out if a company is desperate at this stage. Beyond that, there are plenty of bad jobs out there.
You should start looking for internships earlier on in the process next spring semester - these look excellent on resumes after graduation. |
