Default Why no players on WPX?

And before you say it, no, I don't work for WPX!

Just curious why more don't go on there as they offer 100% rakeback. if there were ever more than two tables I would be on there in a second and I'm guessing most others are the same. is it purely a catch 22 and because there are no players on there none go there? any ideas at all?

I was on there looking for a $50NL game. There were two 6 max tables that were full and a shorthanded full ring table. There were no games going higher than that.

For me it's a few reasons.

Tough games being the first. I can't think of any site on the internet with tougher games. Best I was able to do there is break even WITH the 100% rakeback. No reason I'd play there to break even when I could make a profit elsewhere with less rakeback.

Second is lack of pokertracker. I'm sure this is really a blessing in disguise and all, but I'm pretty anal about keeping records and I depend on PAHUD too often while multitabling.

Third is the crummy software. It's just ugly as hell, period.

Lastly, I can't shake the feeling that with what few players they do have there, about half of them are bots.

ok, thank you for actually replaying and giving actual reason. much appreciated.

tough games for sure but I gues sthat goes back to the catch 22. if it took off and got more exposure the donks would join in too i'm sure. it's just unfortunate but all the points u make r sound.

in saying that, playing decent, you should be able to break even WITHOUT rakeback there I think so the rakeback should be your profit which often can be more than you make elsewhere although it's a close call..

Multi-tabling grinders don't want to play without HUDs, or across multiple stakes. Beginners don't know about the site because it isn't advertised as well as PS/FT/etc., and because there aren't any poker celebrities there.

Also, many dislike playing ultra-short-handed. Notice the wait-lists for the full 6-max games, while others have 2-3 players in them.

I played there recently, a mix or HU and 3/4 handed play.

Here are a few reasons I think the traffic is low.

The general appearance of the software makes my eyes bleed.

I didn't receive 100% RB as advertised, it was closer to 85-90%. If your offering and advertising 100% RB, that's what is should be. Contributed rake should be used, not the dealt rake system or the site should advertise '75 - 150% RB depending on how tight you play'. Changing this might also help get rid of the nit infestation and with a little advertising create games that the recreational player might want to play and would enjoy.

So the low traffic (and therefore nitty games) and the software seem to be the main reasons. Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I will email them and tell them to get their [censored] together.

as for the rakeback I still don't get how it all works. had several email conversations with WPX and I don't even think they know!
