looks like you played it right. You can't beat much but a busted flush draw. A good player though probably isn't calling from the BB though without a pair or A.

Hmmm, a tough cookie. My guess is that he had something like KTs+, then saw he was on a nut draw with a K as additional outs. Good fold on the river, I think only thing I might have done was raised a tiny bit more pre-flop, I'm not sure QQ is a hand that should just get a 3x raise at the 25/50 level. Probably more like 5x.

Also a bet at the turn would have been interesting. Potential backfire if he had an ace, but at least you'd know what's up.

So if he isn't calling without a pair or a A isn't it better to don't Cbet?

Why 5BB? Firing a second barrel to see "what's up" is overrated.

Yeah that's a good point. His 200 was basically a semi-bluff/cbet/probe bet all rolled into one. A pot size bet would have cost just a little more and given better credibility to you holding an Ace, and him not calling on a draw.

I don't like a check, that's not any good for Hero here, it can only make the situation worse I think unless he thinks he can check it all the way down, or risk making the pot-sized bet on the turn if a heart doesn't come.

Because 3x at this stage is way too small to anyone considering implied odds. 3x with Aces is a lot better than 3x with Queens. I don't think you want to invite anyone on a lark into your QQ.

I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish. Are you looking to chase people out with the 3rd best starting hand so you can collect 75 chips? You want a call, and if they are in "on a lark" with weak holdings all the better. 3BBs is pretty standard.

thats just wrong. Nothing wrong with raising 3x BB with QQ. If there is total calling stations behind me, I may raise more because I want to make them pay.

Just have to learn how to fold after the flop.

I would of played the hand just about the same way.

Once you get called on the flop, its time to shut it down generally.
