Default $20/180 button steal

Curious to see what you do here. No read on player other than he has a decent ROI and and has a pretty wide raising range.

I call and see what the flop brings. If it's dry I'll play it aggressively, otherwise I play it slow. I hate playing out of position with a hand like that in a re-raised pot.

this seems like a fairly standard push. you're very ahead of any reasonable co raising range and there's already around 2000 in the pot when he only has around 5000 left.

Villain M=7.8
Hero M=12.4

Villain has a perfect stack to resteal against, and from your description on him having a wide range i would push any pair, any ace, K7+, Q9+, JT+, any connectors 76+ (what ppl think of this range?)

OK - it's pretty clear that shoving is +ev here. However, is it better than Stake Monster's line? Is it not true that 99 pretty much splits the villains range. So if you call, you give yourself a chance to extract value from hands that would fold to a shove (and maybe fold out some hands that have you beaten preflop)? Just a thought. 57% of flops will have 0 or 1 overcards to your pair.

We should also be worried about more than just overcards, like flushes, straights and flopped sets. By pushing we have a chance at picking up a nice pot, plus if we are called we are guranteed to see all five cards which means that even if we are out flopped we don't have to put anything extra into the pot to out draw him. By pushing we also negate our positional disadvantage. With stack sizes and villians wide range, I think that calling is too big a gamble at this point in the tourney.
