Default KQ Is it good to push?

16 left in a PS 4/180.
My chip count makes me 15th.
The villain likes to limp with small pairs but calls if someone raises (even with a pair of deuces).

PokerStars (8 handed)

BB: 12120 in chips
Seat 3: 9340 in chips
Villain: 26527 in chips
Seat 5: 11978 in chips
Seat 6: 25345 in chips
Seat 7: 22252 in chips
Hero: 8985 in chips
SB: 19850 in chips

Blinds: 400/800
Ante: 50

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 3 folds, Hero ?

What's the best move? Shall I put all my chips in the middle?

*grunch*

I would. With an M of about six, I don't think you can afford to wait much longer, and your stack is still big enough to make some impact.

i push allday, you'll likely be flipping or have him dominated if he calls, which is likely from your description and his stack. If you double here, you'll have a prime stack to build on on the bubble. and you can incease your stack by 26.71118530884808013355592654424% if he folds

The only way I would consider not pushing is if you saw him get cute with a premium pair or ace-king.

Thus, yes. Pushing's right.

A no-brainer push for me ... even in cases I saw Villain making this with AA / KK as well. Most of the times he will have a lower pair at worst (for us).

In detail: At least it should be essentially no question
that you want to play KQo in position against one limper.

Having said this, look at the alternatives to a push (call / normal raise):

1) You donīt want the blinds to come in cheaply and have a multiway pot with your good, but not excellent hand and just about 2x the amount of the pot remaining. Imagine what happened, if BB makes a "normal" raise and makes it 3,5k to go and Villain calls?! Desaster!

2) You have not enough chips remaining to make a normal raise of about 3-4 times the BB. What if Villain pushes? You had to insta-call anyway. So get in your chips immediately and maximize your FE for a pot of about one quarter of your remaining stack.

M is actually about 4.5 as the table is 8-handed. The best case scenario is actually an underpair (we're 45% to win) if called and could well be dominating us or Ace high so ahead.

M tells us to push but I don't think its as close as we would think. Still, push and hope for best.

Anyone else want to call, see a flop and push if connecting?

Calling is very bad, I actually don't think a shove is super obvious, but pretty sure this is a push.

Laugh and double up when you get called by QTo.

If we call then we still see a flop (probably) and over 8k left if miss it. We can THEN begin to push when needed. As I said we are often behind early caller and we know he will call.

Calling is absolutely no alternative to me. Once again, donīt forget the blinds! And donīt forget that the pot already makes about 25% of your stack! And that you melt 10% of your stack if you call and lose ...

Now assume the following scenarios:

1) Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks. Flop comes AQ3, SB leads out. Hero?

2) Hero calls, SB completes, BB makes it 2,5k to go. UTG calls. Hero?

3) Hero calls, SB folds, BB checks. Flop comes T83. BB checks, Villain makes it 2,5k to go. Hero?

And I for myself donīt KNOW that Villain will call, at least probably not with a wide amount of hands he might have limped with. OP told us that Villain calls raises with pairs after having limped in, not that he is substantially loose calling every raise after having previously limped ...
