Resteals vs MTT buy-in
Simple question - do you resteal less in lower buy-in MTTs? It seems like they are more successful for me in $20+ buy-ins, but don't know if it's just my record so far with them.

[/ QUOTE ] I rarely make moves like resteals and squeezes in most of the tournaments I play ($11 or less). Against a good aggressive villain though, I will make an occassional resteal in them...but not often. |

Re: Resteals vs MTT buy-in
The single case where I've seen a bunch of resteals effectively was in my first 180 with about 25 left. Lots of rejams from the blinds to the left of me (because once it worked 3 times, it became apparent that most people were scared). Twice when I had a fine stealing hand I got jammed into and had to let go; effectively making me tightening my stealing range....until I picked up aces and stacked the over-aggro jammer.
I would avoid squeezing low MTT. Typically I see a bunch of players overlimping pocket pairs without correct implied and then calling for value in a squeeze situation. |
