Beat: Pet store lied
After being gone for the day, my girlfriend and I come home to find that our hermit crab has brutally torn apart one of the two new mini-crabs he lives with.
The pet store had hermit crabs and mini-crabs living side by side. The 3 crabs have lived together for about 2 weeks now. The dead crab was a newer crab, the older mini-crab arrived about a week before he did. The hermit crab is a two year old giant.
Today for some reason, we leave for about 7 hours and come home to find the newer crab torn to pieces just outside of the Hermit Crab's hermie hut.
I guess he got pissed that the little dude was gonna get in his small 3 inch wide space he'd claimed, so he had to set an example. The other crab was in the corner, smashed against the wall as hard as crabbly possible. I can only assume he was scared [censored]- less. Dude is living in a shoebox right now.
