200NL - Value shove a set on a 4-straight board?
I haven't seen too many hands with the villian yet, but so far he seems to be very loose pf, something like 50/20 over a small sample size. I haven't seen enough hands with him to know how he plays postflop yet.
I'm obviously not going to fold my set here, but I was wondering if anyone likes to value-shove the river instead of just call? I think that it's more likely that he has a set here than a straight. On the other hand, he is pretty loose pf, so it's not out of the question for him to have a 4 here. Thoughts? I think it's much more likely for SB to have something like 56 or an overpair. Of course we can't rule our a 4 from his range, but I think I still like pushing the river.

Take this FWIW...maybe his range is wider?

3bet flop yo [/ QUOTE ] Isn't this a really good flop to slowplay on though? The only cards we really don't want to see are a 3 or a 4, and even then it's only because we're afraid of them killing our action. Otherwise, lower sets are still stacking off to us regardless, and I can't see much else calling a flop 3-bet except for a flopped straight. Maybe AA/KK stacks off, but even then I'm not sure. |
