I\'m new to poker (focus on NL), which books to read?
So far I have read:
-Poker For Dummies (decent..) -Hold'em Poker by David Sklansky (like it very much, unfortunately it seems to be a Pot Limit book) Which NL book would you recommend next for me? Also, should I read PL books like SSHE if I don't intend to play PL? I heard that you still learn lots of stuff and principles from PL books that you can use in NL games. |

Those are not Pot Limit books, they're Limit books. PL Holdem is not very common.

Sorry you're right, with Pot Limit books I actually meant Limit books.
So, which (NL( book should I read next? |

Re: I\'m new to poker (focus on NL), which books to read?
Hello, when i first started everywhere I searched suggested Harrington on Hold 'em so start there, and Phil Gordon's Little Green Book for tournaments. If u want to learn the game itself Getting Started in Hold 'em is good to start with, then just read this forum for suggestions and build your library up.

Phil Gordon's Little Green Book is a great place to start.
If you play tournaments, get Harrington on Hold'em vol I&II. Get vol I even if you don't play in tournaments. Then get No Limit Hold'em: Theory & Practice. |

There are no really worthwhile NLH books, possible exception is LGB as i have not read it. Sklansky's book is especially poor IMO. Go to the Small Stakes No Limit forum.
