Default Hellmuth and Chan to be featured in new Poker Video game.

After Hellmuth mentioned it on Poker After Dark, I checked Hellmuth's website and it's probably going to be the new WSOP game by Activision (on PS3, XBOX 360 etc.) He also said it's going to be the only new poker game released in 2007.

I shot for Activision Tuesday at the Palazzo Suites, wow!! An overview of me showing off the suites will be put into the "Unlockable" content of the new WSOP PS3 game. They really are amazing suites, 10,000 square feet of luxury. After shooting that session, we shot the "Battle with the Brat" segment where gamers can play me heads up. After they beat every other character, then they will get to me and Johnny Chan. Right before they play me, they will call me out. Then we play the video where I'm watching television, dressed in a white "Poker Brat Clothing Company" t-shirt, lying on the couch, chilling. Next, I dress in a black shirt, black hat, black sunglasses, and then I walk right at the screen saying, "You want me, you got me!" I go from Phil Hellmuth the nice, to the "Poker Brat," in a cool camera sequence.

Thursday, Mike Matusow and I played two heads up matches to be included as unlockable content for the game. We played for $10,000 a match, and billed it as "The Brat vs. the Mouth." It will make for some very entertaining content for the gamers!! After that I filmed "Tips" for all of the different poker games, along with Chris Ferguson and Mike Matusow. We covered all of the games (nine in total), and we all signed deals with Iamplify to do more tips at their site. My MP4 tips are already up, and you can buy them at iamplify.com or blackbeltphil.com. At 1:00 am I filmed another suite at the Rio.

Although Phil's game isn't out yet, last year's WSOP:Tournament of Champions 2007 Edition looks and sounds at least ten times better than the first WSOP. I know that's not saying much, and Chad and McEachern still look like trolls in the game. Their mouths still move too fast in the intros. Scary looking stuff.

They have about 20 or more pros(can't remember how many) actual voices in the game and Lon McEachern and Norman Chad do the commentary (yes, even with Chad's ex-wife quips). Problem is, it all repeats often and the game logic for the Texas Hold'em is probably worse.

I say that only because although the No-Limit Omaha seems fine, the No-Limit Texas Hold-Em has it's CPU players NEVER limping in , when they're first to act. Instead, they always raise, and it's always just 3 or 4 times the big blind. No other variations. At least the first WSOP varied the raises much more and had limp-ins by the CPU, but the audio and graphics were piss-poor.

As well, even though the new version may call all-ins less often with garbage, it still over values suited cards, so calling all-ins with 10-2 suited isn't uncommon (just like in all of them).

I still like the career mode, since it's hard for me to unlock all the tourneys before I run out of money on the hardest level. But it has easier levels, so if you run out of money you can still continue and you need fewer circuit points to advance to each casino.

It even lets you play a heads-up tourney against 15 other cpu players(you can keep pressing the square button until you get the match-up you want for the first round only).

If you're expecting a big improvement over WSOP 1, it certainly is. But just give it a rent first because I could still play the first WSOP game if it's all I had and you said you couldn't (although it is painful to look at and listen to, and those awful call's by the CPU can put me on tilt fast).
