FT $10NL - TT in SB in a raised pot
Villain is the button. I don't have PT so no stats, but he seems to be able to play position well, although isn't overly aggressive about it. When he raises PF I feel he could be trying to get to a flop HU and in position. He hasn't made any big mistakes, or confusing/sneaky plays that I've seen.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $16.65 UTG+1: $10 CO: $2 Button: $10.05 Hero: $8.55 BB: $12.65 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 folds, CO (poster) checks, Button raises to $0.45, Hero calls $0.4 (pot was $0.6), 2 folds. Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($1.1, 2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $0.75, Hero folds. Uncalled bets: $0.75 returned to Button. Results: Final pot: $1.1 I was planning to raise a good bit PF to try to take it down since everyone had just limped, but when the button raised I decided that if nothing else, a call was correct because of the implied odds from hitting my set. Was a raise a better play? Is there any FE from AJ+ or KJ+? I feel comfortable with my PF play, but was I too weak on the flop? Should I have bet it and seen what happened next? I feel he's C-betting a good amount here, but OOP I was worried that it would cost too much before I could find out if I were behind. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "leak" in my game or not, but all advice is appreciated so that I can have a better idea of what to do next time. Thanks! |

3 bet pf. this is a weak fold on the flop.

Re: FT $10NL - TT in SB in a raised pot
3betting preflop is probably your best line.
As played, on the flop I would have check raised. and like tar said, this is a weak fold on the flop. |

It's a standard, possibly even weak c -bet from a button raiser, 3 bets pf give you the momentum and make it much more difficult for the button to raise your flop bet or even float.
As played, a check raise on the flop let's you know pretty succinctly how good your hand is |
