I don't think dr special (ho chi minh) would risk limping here with a big pair, probably has something like KQ KJ, so with 600 in the pot should i be pushing this? thoughts??? |

Re: PS 60: 99 on the bubble
Ok my thoughts on this one:
The pot is 400 with the Antes and blinds and you have 1855 in chips. So you can only play for about 4 more rounds. After Dr_Special Limping there are 600 in the pot and only DanHasAPlan is coming after you. I don't think that if you push DrSpecial can call you. (If you put him oon a hand like KQ or KJ because the best thing for him could be that he would be in a race). Even DanHasAPlan needs a hand to call you because after you pushed there are 2330 in the pot and it would cost him 1630 to evtl. knock you out. So if you have aa tight table Image, I can't see you call him with a marginal hand like KQ or KJ, because if you could double up. you would have nearly as much as he would have if he lost the pot to you. But if your table Image is loose, he could call you with a hand like KQ. So thats my opinion on this hand. I wouldn't be afraid of Dr_Special calling and shove . Maybe you get called but than you're a slight favorit in most of the times and even a bigger favorite if someone calls your push with a rag-Ace. Hope I could help and maybe someone can answer what they think of my opinion on this hand. Thanks |

Re: PS 60: 99 on the bubble
thanks cashius,
i don't think danhasaplan would call with a marginal hand like KQ or AT. i think pushing here is correct. the only reason i thought it might be close is how short 4th place is. how short would he have to be in order for this to be a fold? (or just limp for set value). i'm thinking somewhere around 450-550. |

Re: PS 60: 99 on the bubble
Unless you have some ninja read that he would only limp KK+ here - easy push. He's action-limping to keep shorty of taking the blinds. He doesn't want to tangle with you.

Re: PS 60: 99 on the bubble
My read would be limper has QJ, KT, or A8/A9 and will fold to a push. I can't see him limping a strong hand on the button. He would probably push 77-99 type of hands. So this looks like a turbo push for me. I'd be really really surprised if he called. Let me know.
