Dry Cleaning Situation
So, I just moved to a new neighborhood in NYC. I called one of the local dry cleaners and dropped off some dry cleaning and laundry with them. I got back my dry cleaning in a couple days, but they keep hedging about where my wash/fold stuff is, and I am beginning to suspect that it's just lost (it's been almost a week). I doubt that there is any theft involved, it's probably just the kind of error that happens when you are processing thousands of pounds of laundry every week.
Anyway, is there a standard procedure when this happens? It wasn't really expensive stuff (<$500), and the only irritating thing will be having to buy replacements. I wouldn't mind getting some free dry cleaning or a few $ compensation though. Anyone have any experience with this? |

Re: Dry Cleaning Situation
You could sue for $65 million like that judge in D.C.
Seriously though, I think you could talk to mgmt and if they have any customer service they will try and cut you a deal if the items are in fact lost. If not, contact the BBB and that will get the ball rolling towards getting you some sort of compensation. Also look here: http://www.smartmoney.com/consumer/i...things-march03 |

Re: Dry Cleaning Situation
How could they possibly lose that much clothing? I'm not doubting that that's probably what happened, but it's mind-boggling.
