Re: 6.50 TPTK fold?
Why are you checking? I'd lead the flop or check-raise. QT is unlikely since he raised pre-flop, but anything is possible at these tables. More likely, he has AA, JJ, KJ, KQ, AJ, (QJ?,) QQ, or Ax of hearts; or, he might just have air like TT, AQ.
It's kind of a mess to figure out what he has if you just c/c. If you lead the flop and get raised, well, that's tough, but you might want to get your money in there anyway, though folding isn't terrible at this level. If you c/r and get RR AI, then I think it's a pretty safe fold. I'd add his bet is really weak - 1/3rd of the pot? This guy is just asking for a C/R. |

I bet the flop.
I like the check only if you plan to raise. As played you have to fold |

Re: 6.50 TPTK fold?
I never like the check/calling every street line, usually lose a lot of chips this way. As played, I fold.
I don't think you played this hand optimally. You have AK pre, so you can push over his 3-bet. Secondly, you hit the flop and check? You need to lead this flop to protect against straight/flush draws. Next, his bet is very weak on the flop. You could have pushed your chips in there. Re-cap: 1) Push all-in preflop 2) Lead the flop for 300 (straight/flush draws) 3) C/R AI on the flop 4) Fold to all-in. The only hands you are beating here are QQ/KQ. I don't he has them enough in this spot for a call. |

Re: 6.50 TPTK fold?
Push all in pre-flop - a 9x re-raise - with AK at level 2?

[/ QUOTE ] I think QQ bets 1/3rd enough here because they're scared, but you're right about 1/3 wanting a check raise. This is why you must bet flop. If he has QQ, your raise makes him fold. If he has a monster, he comes over the top of you and you lay it down. |

Re: 6.50 TPTK fold?
I don't mean he was trying to bait for a C/R, I mean he was showing so much weakness that C/R'ing was obviously the right play after he bet.
But I agree that leading the flop is better, since it will give you almost the same amount of information and will cost less. |

Re: 6.50 TPTK fold?
I said it's an option. The biggest two reasons to push all-in pre are 1)you have the co left to act and 2)you'll be OOP acting on the flop.

Re: 6.50 TPTK fold?
I didnt push because of the all in player. Does that not change anything?
