Default Live: AK - value bet/check the river?

Villain is tricky/trappy LAG. He's a good LAG and he knows that I'm a TAG.

Live NLHE tourney - $150 buyin, blinds are 25/50, 10 players.

stacks
UTG (villain) - 8000
MP3 (hero) - 7000

preflop
Dealt to hero - A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UTG calls 50, 3 folds, hero raises to 150, 4 folds, UTG calls

pot = 375

flop
A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG checks, hero bets 300, UTG calls

pot = 975

turn
[A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG checks, hero bets 500, UTG calls

pot = 1975

river
[A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG checks, hero ????

preflop i raise to 200. pot 475
flop raise to 350. pot 1175
turn raise 700. pot 2575.

river. raise to 800.
You have the 3rd nuts, losing to A5 and 44. villain looks like he has ATish? which now splits the pot. the reason for the small raise is to try and get a call from a pair. which is unlikely

My standard line is to PFR 3bb + 1bb for each limper, making this 4bb t200.

Flop bet is a standard c-bet.

Turn bet seems too small, if he called ur flop bet he either has an Ax/A4/A5/44/55 maybe a loose PF called 67 and is drawing, or a PP and doesn't believe you have the Ace. In either case the 2nd Ace further reinforces his thoughts so he is gonna call t900 if he is gonna call t500, so build the pot.

River, definitely value bet about 50% of pot, if he pushes I don't think I fold the 3rd nuts. If he has it, gg.

Check the river? Did Tilly get a 2+2 account?

He could very easily have a decent A here also, which I think is most likely. AJ, for example, could play this hand exactly the same way -- limp/calling, calling the flop, and calling the second A on the turn. Especially when you're both like a zillion BBs deep.

I like the suggestion above to make a smallish bet on the river to get medium pairs to call. But this looks like a chop to me.

(But by the fact that you're posting it here I expect him to have hit quad 4s...)

Check the river?!?

Bet more on the turn to hopefully make villain think you're stealing the pot...sometimes you get a raise here. Bet maybe 700-800. On the river, I go with 1500 or so. If LAG has anything they will pay you off.

River raise of 800 invites villian to shove. Unless you are calling for sure this is not a good idea.

That said if you are trying to get bets out of weaker hands and are planning on calling villians shove then this can be viewed as a good play. However, if villian shoves there it can be difficult to call, not impossible (I call), but much more difficult.

FWIW I raise PF to 200 and bet more on the turn

Difficult? This is an insanely easy call if he pushes over the top. You're losing to A5 and 44 only here. You really gonna confine his range to exactly those hands?
