Report them to support.

If they do it a lot or show collusion in their play the site will take action against them. If its just a coincidence, so be it, but you're better off reporting it.

Also, OP, by "same location" you mean "same city," right? A city of potentially millions of people, many of whom don't know each other?

yeah same city, i guess some people in some cities dont know each other, but those 2 i assume do

there seem an awful lot of trigger happy people who are willing to accuse others of cheating, botting, colluding, etc., with very little evidence.

but either way, you may as well report it to your poker site and move on.

Quite possibly. Depending on what the name is, people from the same city are often MORE likely to have similar names than those from different cities. This is because some people choose names based on something indigenous to their area, be they places, local famous people, sports teams, etc; and some names are common to certain languages, cultures, etc.

back in the day on Absolute, i was sitting at 2 different tables with 2 players from same location with the exact same name except for a different number at the end of one of them.

someone else asked them what the story was and they reckoned they were husband and wife. Support confirmed this when i emailed them asking.

no harm in emailing support and letting them check things out.
