Default 10NL - Trip Aces to Flush Board

This guy is pretty unknown and has just sat down. He calls most PF steals and c-bets, and has checked down a hand I gave up on and saw that I'm actually stealing with trash if folded to on the button. I'm playing my normal 18/15 game at this point.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $16.50
BB: $16.05
UTG: $3.60
MP: $16.55
CO: $4.85
Hero (BTN): $10.20

Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.40, SB calls $0.35, BB calls $0.30

Flop: ($1.20) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks

At this point I check because we've had a couple paired boards where I've made trips and had the others fold to me. I'm concerned about the third spade to come.

Turn: ($1.20) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, BB bets $0.40, Hero calls $0.40, SB folds

Oh hey guess what? It got there. The bet is only 1/3 pot and I can make a case for him not having the flush and just taking a stab at the pot at least 1/3 of the time here. I call to try to get a cheap showdown.

River: ($2) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets $5.00, Hero folds

Correct or no? If no, why?

Correct, easy fold this over bet on the river is NEVER a bluff. At minimum he has a flush more likely a boat.

Please bet flop!!! That spade on the turn was inevitable after you checked.

Meh. I checked because I was afraid of not getting action. Poor play on my part - just wanted to get it confirmed.

Thanks guys.

In other words, you checked because you were tired of winning pots without resistance.
