Default AKo in SB v.s big stack with 4 left in $5 SNG

Seat 1: Button (t4,385)
Seat 2: SB (t2,250)
Seat 3: Hero (t4,200)
Seat 5: UTG (t2,665)
blinds-t80-t160
Hero has A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
1 fold, Button raises to 360, SB folds, Hero...

I don't want to shove here. I don't want to gamble and lose, and if I reraise OOP and the Button calls, I am faced with a big dillema on the flop if I miss.
Help me out here.

it depends on whether the button player is raising a lot, but is it such a big mistake to fold here, and continue to put pressure on the smaller stacks with better situations? AK is one of the best hands but like you mentioned a 50-50 with this stack isn't a profitable gamble.

This is a super easy push. Lots of FE & way ahead of the button's raising range.

You've got a good hand and enough chips to see the flop. What range do u have for villian?

Without a read, I call and prolly dump it if I whiff the flop. I don't see a reason to build a big pot PF against the other big stack.

Villain has been rather tight and straightforward. I really dont like, as you said, building a pot that I will be attached to and possibly put me on the bubble.

I guess we have different SNG styles in this situation. I don't want to gamble with the other big stack that has me covermed without being in the money first.

Even at this buy in?? Seems like most villians won't fold if they are the raiser. Granted, u will see a lot of junk we dominate, but will also see PP that we are flipping with.
With our stack isn't it +ev to not risk our whole stack PF on this hand since there are medium stacks to abuse?

Especially at this buy-in. You're going to get called by AQ-A8 all the time here even KJ-KQ and yeah sometimes a small pair is calling but that's less likely to be their holding since the non-paired hands are more likely to be dealt.

I don't think you can say this.

sure

p(dealt non-paired) > p( dealt paired )

but

p( not folding preflop ) is way greater with a paired hand.

and we already have that extra information.

We have enough chips for me to just reraise here. I make it 1000 or something.
