Default Private game in AC casino?

In a month or so I am planning to have all my friends come to AC for my b-day and I told them I could probably set up a private game for a little while, like 1/2 NL. Would I have to do this in advance or just ask the floor when 10 of us show up to play??? Also what casino in AC would most likely have a private table?

I don't play in AC but from my experience the rooms that would agree to this wound up regretting it. Why? Because if you're there for a b-day party, wedding, etc...half the players that show up are too busy getting drunk to sit at a table & play cards for any length of time. They wander off to the pits, slots, etc with their significant other & the card room is sitting there with a dealer & table tied up with no action on it. I saw this happen first hand. Maybe your group is different but don't be surprised if you get resistance. But I'd still try to set something up beforehand.

I think you could probably organize a private tournament, but a completely private cash game (where you refused to allow outsiders to sit) would probably be against gaming regulations.

You can't bar outsiders from sitting, but some casinos will allow a "private" game (we had a 4-8 dealer's choice game with a group of friends once, for example. Several casinos will organize private tournaments.

At the Trop last summer for my bachelor party we managed to get a "private" game going by simply asking the floor to seat my friends each time a seat opened up at the table. within an hour we had the table completely to ourselves.

Last year House of Blues was promoting a "Move your home game to HOB" from what i recall, they seem to be a good candidate.

Bring two decks of cards, buy chips at the cage and play at a table in one of your rooms. Presto, no rake or outsiders.
