True BBV Style: Lose money?? Up the stakes!!
Brag: More than tripled my bankroll last night.
Beat: I still mainly play $50 NL. Variance: This will probably never happen again? So I took a beating last night at $50 NL. Seemed that every time I flopped TPTK, someone hit bottom set. Lost straights to flushes. Etc. Just generally awful run. Lost about 6 or 7 buy-ins. And then I was like [censored] IT, I'm upping the stakes. Sit down with like 90% of my bankroll at $1000 NL (6 max). This was the first hand... BTN ($1285.40) SB ($3192.35) BB ($1400.50) UTG ($750.70) UTG+1 ($581.60) HERO ($1000.00), posts BB dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (Not a bad first hand eh?) UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $40, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls. Flop ($157): K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (Best flop ever?) SB bets $100, BB calls, UTG folds, Hero calls. Turn ($457): 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (uh-oh, quads??) SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks. River ($457): Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB bets $300, BB calls, Hero raises $860 and is all-in, SB raises to $2000, BB calls $960.50 and is all-in. Hero shows K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Kings full of fours, and wins $3037. SB shows Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Queens full of fours, and wins $801. BB mucks A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I sat out 2 hands later. 1. Lose Money 2. Up the stakes 3. ??? 4. PROFIT
