TJ Cloutier\'s Books & One Good Idea
It is often said that the purchase of a poker book is justified if it provides at least one good idea. Well, does anyone feel that TJ's books (solo efforts or collaborations) pass the 'one good idea' test.

Providing one good idea isn't enough if it also provides 37 bad ideas.

I'm not a big Fan of most of T.J.'s books, but Championship No Limit and Pot Limit Hold'em is a good book.

[/ QUOTE ] If this is really his best book, there must be no content whatsoever in the other one's. Best idea (and only good one IMO) from that book is that raising for information is over-rated. |

His Omaha book is decent for beginners.

Don't read them.
I've read most of TJs books, some of them like 5-6 times and in retrospect I wish I never opened any of them because they hurted my game much more than it improved it. |

Re: TJ Cloutier\'s Books & One Good Idea
I haven't read enough of TJ's books, instead focusing on my shelf full of 2+2 material, to make an informed opinion. The only one I've read is an Omaha one, and it didn't leave a very good impression on me. I'll check some out from the library and vote then.
Funny, but 2+2 doesn't appear to have an Omaha title to their credit, if I read the list correctly. |
