NL200 - Draw OOP in 4way pot
Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 10 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)
BB: $55.00 MP1: $208.00 MP3: $336.02 Hero (BTN): $255.90 Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (10 Players) 3 folds, MP1 raises to $8.00, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $8.00, CO folds, Hero calls $8.00, SB folds, BB calls $6.00 Flop: ($33) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players) BB checks, MP1 checks, MP3 bets $20.00, Hero?? I generally play draws fast, the same as made hands, but there are a few problems here. Villain is betting into 3 players and very often has a King here. If he doesn't, there is every chance that someone has - so fold equity if we raise is not good. If we call, our hand is pretty well face up. We can easily end up piggy in the middle if BB or MP1 has a hand and check/raises. To call we would only need to make a further $32 in a $73 pot if it goes HU (unless we get a free turn, in which case we already have odds). So, simply let this nut draw go, or call and risk getting squeezed out? |

Avoid this marginal situation by folding preflop.

This is 3 ways, possibly 4. Calling on the button with a suited Ace must be +EV?
Saying "fold preflop" is an easy way out. What's your play if you see this flop? |

Re: NL200 - Draw OOP in 4way pot
If you fold this hand you should not be playing A6s from the button.
This is basically your ideal flop (no conceivable straight draw and four to your nut flush). I realize the betting went as poorly as it could have for you, but if you fold this hand I don't see how the pf play can be plus +EV. As played I call. The BB isn't going to squeeze you out as he is almost out of chips, so that certainly helps. You still have the button, which offsets some of the "hand is faceup" problem you're facing. |

Re: NL200 - Draw OOP in 4way pot
Yeah, I agree with "fold prelop" advice. Even in position I don't think calling a raise and a smoothcall is +EV.
As played though, I call on the flop here. You're probably mot getting squeezed out, especially if a raise gets called somewhere before you. All-in 3 ways is +EV for you. My goal is to get as many people into the pot as possible. You may have to fold to a good bet on the turn, but IMHO you have too much equity on this flop to fold. |
