I flop top set against big stack
NL25, 6max
No reads on villian, except that he did once make a slightly thin value bet on the river, doesn't help too much here. Don't know how he got a 300BB+ stack, but I'll have to give him credit for being able to play. Hero (UTG: $34) Villian (SB: $87) Hero raises to $1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. All fold to Villian who calls, BB folds. Flop: (2 players, $2): T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villian checks, Hero bets $2, Villian raises to $4, Hero raises to $12, Villian calls. Turn: (2 players, $26): 4:clubs: Villian shoves (well, bets $20 to put me all in), Hero? $20 to call in a $46 pot, with top set, can I ever fold this? I figured the flop c/r could be a number of things. Alot of people will bluff at a flop like this to try repping broadway, and a lot of draws bet like this. In my experience, unlike turn c/raises flop c/rasies are often bluffs. I'm losing to J9 and AJ, although I'm still drawing live with like a 20% (I think?) chance of hitting on the river. I beat the following possible holdings: KQ, KT, QT, QQ, TT. The problem with this is I'm not sure if he does his stack with QT or KT here (although thats possible as he could put me on AK), and due to being able to account for 3 of the Kings it cuts the possible combos of the hands that I beat down. Also he may well reraise this pf with QQ, but some players only reraise AA/KK and maybe AK. Should I have played flop differently? Anyone fold this turn? |
