Default Nintendo DS Lite Question

I'm getting my groomsmen each a Nintendo DS Lite as a gift. Since buying a bunch of them is expensive, I would like to avoid buying a game for each of them. In reading through the Nintendo website, it looks like the follwing will work:

Buy 4-6 DS Lites and 1 Mario Kart DS game. With this setup 4-6 of my groomsmen could link wirelessy with each other and play Mario Kart using just 1 game card at my bachelor party which is in the middle of the woods (no internet access). Is this correct?

Thanks

Can I be in your wedding party?

I think this is right. I've never hooked up with more than one, but a friend of mine and I played Mario Kart with just one card in a place with no internet access. I seem to remember that it looked like it would support more players, though I'm not sure if it topped out at 4 or 8 or what.

With many of the DS games, one game cartridge can support 4 systems.
