Best Coffee shops/Internet Cafes in Vegas
Leaving tomorrow for Vegas and am staying at the Gold Coast and Rio. I'll probably play at the Bellagio and Wynn as well and I'm just wondering where everyone thinks the best coffee shops are. I'd prefer places in those vicinities.
Any thoughts? |

Re: Best Coffee shops/Internet Cafes in Vegas
If your looking for a Starbucks/ Coffee Bean and tea type place you are out of luck.
If you mean coffee shop like for breakfast I have yet to find a place that beats the Bellagio's. It does cost a few $$ more but it is worth it. |

I usually like places that have have good strong coffee, lattes, and english tea. I prefer more bohemian places where I can read, surf the internet, or write unhassled for an hour or two.

Re: Best Coffee shops/Internet Cafes in Vegas
There is a Starbucks, Seattle's Best (in Gold Coast), Coffee Bean or some equivalent scattered around in various casinos, and often between 'em. As I recall Bellagio and Wynn don't have anything so crufty as a Starbucks, so you're instead going to get some designer place. As for the "Internet Cafe" part, that's a little harder. Dunno.

Re: Best Coffee shops/Internet Cafes in Vegas
There is a Borders Express in the Fashion Show mall - not sure how much smaller than a "normal" Borders it is though. I went to Borders yesterday and they have Seattles Best Coffee, internet access (not sure if you have to subscribe or something) and a ton o books. There is a full sized Borders Books 3.5 or sso miles from the Rio at:
1445 W Sunset Rd Just head south on the strip past Mandalay Bay and the airport, turn right on Sunset and there it is. Even if you cab it, shouldn't be too expensive. Getting a cab back may involve a little wait... |

The Ice Cream shop in Wynn has free wifi (i think), not sure what the quality of their coffee is like.

Re: Best Coffee shops/Internet Cafes in Vegas
I think Mason has mentioned one of the coffee placs at Wynn where he likes to write or read over his manuscripts, etc.
As far as bohemian-type hang-out places I never saw any. I think best you can do is get coffee at the Starbucks or something within one of the casinos. Not really the same though imo. |

For the last 4 years wifey and I always pack our Elektra expresso machine/coffee grinder/and a few lbs of custom beans for our annual Vegas trip. About 40 lbs in small seperate suitcase. Well worth it, good coffee is too hard to find (Starbucks is pigswill imo)

Calling Starbucks Seattle's best coffee is a huge insult to Seattle.
