Default Winrate at old level drops when moving up

Does this happen to you guys? It might just be the sample sizes, but as soon as I start taking shots and play more and more tables at higherstakes my winrates at the lower levels drop. Its happend everytime while moving up from 25-200NL and just wondering what it is? I feel like I'm playing my normal game and concentrating on decisions and this is bothering me.

P.S. If this happens to most ppl I got dibs on the kevin theorem.

The games are obviously tougher when the stakes increase, hence your winrate will drop as your edge decreases.

Happens to me. I think the money at the old level stops being as meaningful.

Oops, misread what he said.

Yeah I agree, and for the same reasons lucky mentioned.

Oh yeah, I can't win anymore at 25NL cuz I want to play every hand, get fancy, and call everything down there.

One side note - the opposite happens as well. I moved up to 200NL last month, but when I'm not feeling 100% fit I play at 100NL. Since I'm now used to the increased aggression and amount of money at 200NL, I can play fearless at 100NL and that helped my game there.

But if I move down further, the money becomes too insignificant which causes a loss of focus and FPS, which in effect causes me to lose there.

$50 and less is just a boring value town game. There's no way you could concentrate unless the money meant something to you or you were massively multitabling.

I agree with the first bit, if I play 1/2 then play some .5/1, 100nl seems really easy
