Default Ocean\'s 11 - COASTER

I'm going to be in San Diego next week for a conference. I plan on blowing off most of it and playing cards at Ocean's 11 instead. I have been on the COASTER website and it looks like the casino is only about 1 mile from the train station. My question is: would making this walk be any kind of problem? Is there a sidewalk? Is this through a terrible neighborhood or anything? Any responses from players in this area are appreciated, thanks in advance.

I probably wouldn't walk it at night after leaving since you are tagged as coming from the casino. But going to the casino shouldn't be a big problem. The area has gotten better and there are people on the street most of the way. The time you will be vulnerable is while walking the bridge crossing the freeway (once again mostly at night).

Agree with Rick. You don't want to walk through Oceanside at night.

95% of Oceanside is perfectly safe. This particular walk is part of the other 5%, so a cab is probably the best bet late at night. You're fine during the day.

I'll pile on. This is not a walk I'd volunteer to make.

Me too. I solved this problem by just playing until the sun comes out and I've yet to be stabbed/robbed/raped/chopped up into pieces and eaten with this method.

I'm probably going to go broke because I tip like $5 on everything I order.
