proper turn play.
this hand was live at turning stone. game is uncapped 5-10,20 to come in.
important background info:game was 1k nl then, limped pot 6 way. flop was 5 5 8 chks around to villian #1 who bets(he has bet in position seems alil too much it felt) and good players that had checked now calls i c/r them both and both call. turn was a 2o and first guy checks i check and villian moves all in first dude folds and i fold and show Q J. no pair no draw.he has also seen the other hand vs villian# 2 which is closer to this hand.villian #1 is overall solid tho villian #2: he turns out to be a fish and a station. first hand we played together(this is b4 he is revealed as a fish station) he limped called my iso raise to 100. he leads 150 j 9 3r board and flop call my 3x raise(i had a bluff and held A9) and just open pushes turn for 1200 that is a 7. turns out he had qj(other player seen his hand after i folded). then i c him make a call all in on A 3 4 board with A 10 and river a 10.more hands like this. so villian #1 is solid and villain #2 is a fish since villian #2 is a fish and i have isolated raised him a few times when he limps which he does 85% of time. on to hand- eff stacks 2400ish heros cards:2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] villian #2 limps middle poistion. i raise to 80 and villian #1 cold calls on button and Villian #1 calls. Flopot (250) 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] villian #1 chks i bet 175 Villian #2 calls and Villian #1 folds Turn 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] pot(600) eff stacks now bout 2100 i wait 2 secs and check he bets 350 and i.......(keep in mind how consealed my hand is, he would never put me on 2 pair rasing preflop with this board) Questions: should i led for xxx on turn? and how to playing from here now that i chk. side question: if a fish is at the table and limps alot is it +ev to isolate him with marginal holdings pre flop in order to try and play as many pots heads up with you in position as u can |

Re: proper turn play.
I would just lead again. Not a huge fan of preflop tho. As played I dunno, c/r ai I guess?

Re: proper turn play.
yea. pf only reason i raised was to get hu with the fish. more often than not im not raising 23s after a limp in mid-late position.
as far as all in u dont think its alil to big of a bump but i guess it could work. i did wish i led again but wasnt thinking just reacted and check trying to play it like missed overs and fig he'll fire out a bet to protect or with a combo draw/fd. |

Re: proper turn play.
Yeah obviously c/r ai here is a little big but he might interpret it as a semibluff with 2 clubs and overs or something, and call you with a ten.
The only advantage to raising smaller would be if you think he'll come over the top of you with a draw so you can instacall... but he doesn't seem like the type to do that? I dunno. Sounds like he likes to call to me although I mainly just skimmed through the top of your post so maybe I'm wrong. As for c/c:ing turn that might be ok but you would be risking an action killer or hand killer river(club or non-3/2 board pairing card, maybe the straight cards aswell) and you might not get his whole stack anyway that way. |

Re: proper turn play.
fwiw, 23 = JJ here. so all the added deception of your hand doesnt really help in beating an additional part of villains range that isnt already behind to an overpair.
i like c/ring. |
