Default $16 AJs - SB vs BB 16.7/6.7

Villain is 16.7/6.7, I may not have noticed till after the hand, my bad. A raise seemed standard but after he pops me back I'm feeling like a shove was better, but that's most likely a results driven feeling. Thoughts?

You can go either way but I just shove, you're basically playing with 12BBs here (villains stack) so its fine.

Pudge what range do you put him on that justifies going on?
In the actual hand I did shove over him but in hindsight I feel if he is a solid player and I've been tight he's not coming at me lightly.
77+,ATs+,KQs,AJo+
What would you put him on?
(of course in the actual hand he had QQs, I hit an A and the river brings a Q )

I would shove, yea this time u get unlucky cuz he has qq but way more often than not u will get called by weaker hands imo

You mean preflop or over top of his raise?

Preflop shoving 1st his range could be
<------------------------------------------>
After I raise 3xbb and he shoves 1st range is
<----->

I think that's the difference of course 1st is an easy one, shoving over a raise and an all-in is not so cut and dry.

Either raise/call or shove. AJs is too strong to raise/fold. Every once in a while you can make a cheap steal with total junk that way but doing it with a real hand is a waste. Against a more passive player (at least a player I think will be more passive going forward, like a 45/2) I'll limp and minbet most flops.
