Default Early in 1500 chip mtt with aq in the sb

Hi did i make a mistake here? should i have raised more pre flop? or not cb? What do you think the guy had? I lost 1/3 of my stack with this play.

Larry,

Try to raise to 120, you have a better chance of getting heads up. You are OOP here and AQ is a big problem hand OOP w/o reads. IN FACT, I like to limp in spots like these and play small ball on flops, but that's just me...

You could get the same information betting 160 - 180 on the flop rather than potting it. You are up against two players, so check/folding here is not a bad idea either. Because the board has all lows and it's very likely to have missed both players, cont. betting &gt; checking, I feel, but 160-180 is much better.

Barry beat me to it, but I was just going to say that early on OOP I would probably just call here, and not commit much to this pot unless I hit the flop. I don't think I'd even bother trying to take this down. You are up against 1 or 2 small/medium pairs and 65 just flopped the nuts. Why bother? There will be better spots.

120 and w/ 2 players to ur left after the flop dont try and take a pot where one of them has a medium pair and some1 w/ 77 or 66 isnt goin 2 go away
