Default 25NL - A8o on KK8 flop HU

Villain is VPIP 35+ over 50 hands or so. Thinks he's a hand reader and some poker god. Tries to call out what you have and thinks he's cute showing hands when he steals obvious steals. He's giving me no CB respect but I'm not CB'ing multiway pots. Everybody just left the table right b4 this hand started.

I'd check the turn. As played call the raise and reevalute the river.

My thinking was that I'm ahead on the flop. By checking the turn I'd allow another free card and if any over hit I would be forced to fold. I also would lose the opportunity to bluff the flush. No?

How do you know you're ahead? If you are ahead he has hardly any outs. He's about never folding a better hand.

[/ QUOTE ]I think calling this raise is very bad. He likely gets no money if he hits the flush, opponent could already have a boat. What if he hits an 8 on the river? I would check turn and maybe call something, but after betting turn I would never call this raise.
