Default Turned a full house, how is my play?

Very early in a PS $25+$2.50, won a few pots with the nuts earlier... How is my play on this hand?

I turned a full house... is this the right play?

As long as you didn't leave anymore chips to Villain, it's a good play.

That would suck if he had J9 of diamonds.

Thanks.. I was just confirming my thinking.

He did indeed have the J9 of diamonds, and this is the second time this week I have lost to a straight flush (flopped) when I turn a full house...

As long as the odds are for me pushing hard with my full house, I will continue.

Looks good. I might bet a little less on the turn, to give flush draws the "right" odds to call if they weren't drawing dead. But given that these two both called 200 on the flop, it seems like they're ready to call a lot on the turn too. And also you don't want to give correct odds to a bare 8 either.

So yeah, I like it. Looks like he got all-in on the river, right? If he hadn't, I definitely push for the rest. I expect to see an 8 or a flush at showdown over 95% of the time here, and you've got value from either one at this level.

edit: whoops didn't see the 4 diamonds, so forget the 8. Definitely still looks good though.

I think I bet 500 on the turn to make sure that he does not fold a lone A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]/K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

This hand is very standard though.

You should probably fold because you don't have the nut full house and there is a chance that your opponent has a straight flush. You also dont get any worse hands to call your bets once you make your full house so you should check and then fold if the villain bets more than one big blind.

No. This could be alot more hands than just a better fullhouse or a straight flush.

This could be a made flush that he is slowplaying or it could be a draw to the flush, putting hero on an overpair.

Put any diamonds in there and tell me that villain isn't playing any other type of flush draw that has an Ace or King in it.
